Overview

QALM is a mindful digital companion designed for modern Muslims. Offering features like a daily worship planner (Yaumiyah), Al-Quran, Murojaah tracking, and prayer schedules, it aims to help users stay connected to their spiritual goals in a seamless, distraction-free environment.

The Challenge

Many Islamic apps on the market are often cluttered with intrusive ads, heavy interfaces, or overwhelming notifications. The challenge was to build an all-in-one application that feels inherently peaceful—living up to the name "Qalm" (Calm). It needed to be highly functional, housing everything from daily missions to Islamic articles, while maintaining a clean, serene, and lightweight user experience.

The Solution

Embracing my "ABC to XYZ" philosophy, I took ownership of the entire product lifecycle, transforming a thoughtful concept in Figma into a fully functional Progressive Web App (PWA).

• End-to-End PWA Delivery: As both the UI/UX designer and developer, I ensured the app's calming aesthetic was perfectly translated into lightweight, high-performance code. Built as a PWA, users can easily install QALM directly to their home screens for instant access.
• Serene UI/UX: I crafted a minimalist, modern interface using soothing tones and generous whitespace. This intentional design removes digital noise, allowing users to focus entirely on their daily Amaliyah and Quranic reflections.
• Complex Features, Simple Flow: Despite packing in robust tools like dynamic daily missions, prayer times based on location, and progress trackers, the user journey remains incredibly fluid and intuitive.

The Result

QALM serves as a true digital sanctuary for its users. It successfully bridges comprehensive Islamic utilities with a beautiful, modern aesthetic. By delivering the project seamlessly from A to Z, QALM now offers a mindful, frictionless experience that makes daily spiritual habits genuinely rewarding.
